The Second Edition is Out !

Ten years ago, when I co-authored Self-Editing for Fiction Writers I had high hopes, but no idea the book would become such a steady seller. But its popularity with individual writers, writing groups, and fiction classes has kept it happily in the mid-list and prompted the publisher, HarperCollins, to request a rewrite for a second edition.

I jumped at the chance. Working with hundreds of clients in the past decade has taught me a lot. I've expanded the new edition to be sure that, whenever I warn you against a common writing mistake, I also tell you the right way to accomplish your writing goal. The examples are also updated, but the original Booth cartoons are still there to lighten the job of learning to edit your own work.
